“The Unfolding of God’s Redemptive Plan” - Rooms 203/204
From the lawgiver Moses to the apostle John, and from the early church fathers to modern defenders of the faith, there has marched onto the stage of human history a long line of godly men, a triumphant parade of spiritual stalwarts who have upheld the doctrines of grace. Join us in this journey through the Scriptures from 1400 B.C.—100 A.D. to show that the Bible in its entirety teaches the doctrines of grace.
God cannot change, His word cannot change, and His purpose cannot change. His truth is the same because He is Truth. For the next 20 weeks we will study God’s sovereignty, God’s glory, man’s depravity, doctrine of election, atonement, eternal security and much more as we look at these themes within each book of the Bible.
“Reliability of Scripture”—Rooms 114/115
Have you ever questioned the authenticity, reliability and authority of the Bible? Have you ever wondered, how we can know without a doubt the Scriptures are inspired by our holy Creator and not just a compilation of writings from various men throughout history? How do we know Moses or Isaiah or John or Peter or Paul were not just recording their own thoughts and saying it was from the Lord?
What is the difference between Revelation, Inspiration, Illumination and Interpretation? What about the canon? Why is the Bible limited to 66 books? Did some books get into the canon that should have been left out or are there others that should have been included?
What about the alleged contradictions in the Bible? What about all those manuscripts? What about textual criticism?
This was the first course ever taught at Wellington, but it has been several years since it was last offered, so there is no better way to begin a new year than to uncover the truth about Scripture.
Nearly 4,000 times the Bible says it is God's word. It gives us no fence to straddle. It demands that we come under its authority or commit it to flames. Good books do not mislead. Is the Bible really God's word?

The Church through the Centuries
How did we get to the point that there is a church with a different name, doctrine and approach to ministry on every street corner? Where did all these denominations come from? Why do so many churches teach so many different things about everything from communion to baptism to speaking in tongues? Why is Wellington an autonomous, independent, Bible church?
On Sunday nights, January through March, in twelve brief lessons you will see the big picture of church history from the early church of the first century to the rise of Catholicism, the purpose of the Reformation, the beginning of denominations, the influence of Pentecostalism and why the modern church of the twenty first century is so diverse.
