Wayne Holcomb is one of the elders at Wellington who serves as a pastor and teacher. Having graduated with honors, receiving a B.A. (K.C.U.) in Theology and M.A. in Christian Ministries, Wayne has served as a pastor in Indiana and Kentucky since the spring of 1972. Wayne is married to his partner in ministry, Tanya (who has a B.A. in Education from Georgetown College), and they have three beautiful daughters, Heather, Sarah, and Jessica and two wonderful granddaughters, Makenna and Reese, and three grandsons, Landon, Lincoln and Bryce.
He continues to be a student of the word as he prepares each week to preach expository messages from God's word and to teach courses of systematic theology in terms that all can understand in addition to pursuing another masters and eventually a doctorate.
Kevin Cooper, Associate Pastor:
Music and Administration
Kevin Cooper coordinates and presides over Sunday services and special events. He began his music ministry in his teens as pianist and vocalist for his home church in Minerva, OH. He graduated from Kentucky Christian University where he participated in traveling music groups with the opportunity of recording in Nashville, TN and performing at Carnegie Hall while receiving a degree in Bible and Music Education. He was an associate minister of music at Hill N Dale Christian Church in Lexington, KY before marrying Heather Holcomb (who has a B.A. in Education from the University of Kentucky) in July, 2001 and joining the staff at Wellington. Kevin and Heather have a daughter, Makenna, and a son, Landon. Kevin's musical skills include choral conducting, song writing, arranging, playing keyboard, and vocal coaching.
Brent Walker, Associate Pastor:
Student and Family Ministries
Brent Walker oversees the Student Ministries (Grades 6-12) and serves as the college pastor. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2009 and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Brent and his wife Sara moved from Tennessee to Kentucky in August 2011. They both have a heart for people and the gospel that is evident in how they live and serve others. Brent enjoys playing disc golf, basketball, and ultimate Frisbee.

Joshua Rice will be serving as an intern within the youth (6-12 grades), college, and music ministries beginning in October. He and Rebekah Wilson are students at Asbury University where Joshua is majoring in Worship Arts and minoring in Youth Ministry. Rebekah also has a double major in Missions and Sociology. They have been a couple for almost two years and have been actively involved in worship at Wellington for some time. Both are very thankful for the opportunity to use their God-given gifts to serve the Lord within a church like Wellington while continuing to grow in grace and knowledge. The church leadership hopes that their experience at Wellington will be beneficial to their future years of service in the work of the Lord.
